Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
REGISTRATION
What should my profile be to participate in the study tour?
- The study tour has been designed for:
- senior tertiary leaders, in roles such as vice-chancellor, deputy or pro vice-chancellor, dean, director of administrative unit, provost, rector, vice-rector etc; and
- senior policy-makers in ministry/department of education at either the national or state/provincial level.
- To be eligible you must be currently working in a role as outlined above or equivalent
- Please use the online registration form:
http://www.esmu.be/component/registrationpro/?func=details&did=3
- Registration guarantees you a place on the selected study tour, as long as your profile matches the requirements and the tour is not yet fully booked (should the later be the case, you will be informed and be placed on a waiting list). Therefore, there is no deadline for registrations. You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of your registration. Your participation is fully confirmed, only once you receive an official confirmation letter. We therefore advice not to book any transcontinental flight until you receive an official confirmation.
- The EU-STEP study tours are funded to more than 50% by the European Union’s Erasmus Mundus programme. The study tours are carried out on a non-profit basis. Therefore, unfortunately, no support funding is available towards the registration fees. However, we can offer support with your search for additional funds with supporting letters, etc.
- You will receive an invoice together with your official confirmation letter, once the registrations for the study tour have been assessed and the full group has been set up.
- Once you have received the invoice, we invite you to make an international bank transfer within a designated period of time to ensure your place on the tour. Without any response, your place will be given to a candidate from the waiting list.
- We do not accept payments by credit card, cheques or cash. The only payment option is by international bank transfer.
- The cancellation fees and dates are shown on your invoice. You can also find them in the online registration form by clicking on the link “Terms of Service” right above the button “Register”.
- A replacement will only be possible by another person also holding a senior position.
