Exchange of information - Sharing experiences on good practice

ESMU-DEAN offers specialised workshops for academic leaders (deans of faculties/heads of schools) on cutting edge issues for the strategic management of their institutions. We advise deans on EU policies in education, research and innovation. We offer practical advice on leadership and management issues.

- Our experience builds on our numerous contacts with deans of faculties/heads of schools in all European universities

- We have a strong track record in organising European-wide conferences and seminars for deans of faculties/heads of schools

- We involve deans in our consultancy work, special projects and in various advisory roles for our activities

•  Express interest in consultancy work - We have won several major framework contracts for services to be provided to the European Commission in all fields of education and training for a four-year period from 2011. See the expertise form.

• Bring a regional partnership team to our EU-DRIVERS European platform on regional innovation

ESMU-DEAN is available to offer customised workshops and management development programmes on senior leadership issues as well as specific support to universities:

- We are delivering a four-year senior leadership programme for rectors and deans of the Nizhni Novgorod (UNN) Russia (2009-2013)

- We advised the University of Vilnius on governance reforms and management issues (2010)

- With a group of senior experts, we assisted the University of Göttingen with a review of its professionalisation project for its deans of studies (2011)

- We are designing leadership and management programmes for Ethiopian university leaders ( 2012-2014)
